About Brian

Brian first joined Keyturn in 1995, initially as a Project Manager. Alongside that role he completed his Diploma in Human Resource Development in 1997, following which he began to design and deliver learning programmes.

He has been Keyturn’s Director of Learning & Development since 2019. Within this role he works very closely with key clients to design tailored learning programmes relevant to their organisation, as well as still delivering in a variety of topic areas when his diary allows. He is also Keyturn’s Lead Assessor for ILM programmes (for which Keyturn has achieved self-awarding status).

Brian is highly experienced in face-to-face delivery, online delivery, 1-2-1 coaching/mentoring, activity- based learning and graduate learning. He has a humorous, laid-back and approachable style of delivery and is extremely dedicated to his learners. His breadth of knowledge means that he is comfortable to deal with work-related challenges which learners are facing, even if the challenge extends outside of the main content for the learning activity.

Organisations with whom he has worked include:

  • Galliford Try plc (construction)

  • AVL Powertrain UK (advanced automotive engineering)

  • Santa Maria UK (food manufacturing)

  • Red Bull F1 Team

  • Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman

  • 1-2-1 business skills mentoring of a renowned musician and producer

Outside of his role at Keyturn, Brian is an experienced drummer and youth leader. Since 2018, he has owned a thriving independent restaurant in Gloucester, run by a team of largely 16-24 year olds. This business won Gloucester’s BID’s ‘Best Customer Service’ Award in 2024.

Choosing the right training provider…

…means finding a partner who truly understands your organisation, your people, your culture, and the outcomes you're aiming for. Every workshop should feel relevant, well-organised, and aligned with your goals. That’s why it helps to have a team behind the scenes who not only manage the details smoothly but also care about getting it right.

With experience across industries like construction, logistics, and manufacturing, there's a solid understanding of the pressures your teams face. Workshops are shaped around what matters to you; practical, flexible, and focused on making a real impact.

Communication is clear and proactive, and everything runs smoothly. Giving you confidence that your teams are in good hands. It’s about more than just delivering training. It’s about building a partnership that supports growth, development, and long-term success.
