Training, Coaching & Mentoring Skills

Programme overview:

This practical workshop is for leaders and experienced team members who have a remit to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of those around them. Learners will come to understand the difference between each of these methods, how people learn and how to evaluate the success of their intervention. The programme will also introduce relevant tools and techniques for the preparation and delivery of effective learning interventions. There is an option to also include formal assessment methods and techniques in situations where the focus of training is largely skills-based

The programme can be between one and two days in duration depending upon whether the assessment option is required and also whether real-life delivery practice is required.

This unit can be attended either as a stand-alone programme or as a module within a wider leadership development programme. It is intended to be delivered in-person due to the practical nature of the programme and is for a maximum group size of 6. However, an overview of how people learn and the principles of each method can be delivered online as a half day programme.

  • Specific tools and techniques relating to the preparation and delivery of training and/or coaching and/or mentoring*

  • Evaluating the outcomes and success of learning (can include formal assessment if required)

  • Option for assessed delivery of a learning activity (inc. feedback)*
